Holiday Postcards

December 4, 2012

Y’all, I am sorry I haven’t chatted with you lately! We had three weekends in a row of either guests in town or us out of town. Although they are great fun, those streaks always leave me behind in things like blogging, photo-taking, closet-neatening, Christmas card-mailing, etc. You know, those general life tasks that tend to fall to the wayside on weekdays. We’ve also been walking our dog together more often in the evenings when David gets home from work, so that partially explains my slowdown too.

Anyway, I’ve made myself a long list of topics to tell you about soon, including an amazing bakery with vegan goods in Detroit and a great Christmas gift idea for healthy, custom-made energy bars.

But first! These are the postcards I mentioned back before I fell off the face of the earth, when I brainstormed some creative Christmas card ideas with you. I ordered some for myself, and now the extras are available in my Etsy shop in case you are looking for a simple, unique, casual way to send your greetings this year. They are $2.00 for a set of 10.

You can mail a card by itself with a 32-cent postcard stamp, or slide a pair into an A2-size envelope to dress them up a little bit. I’m going the envelope route, and tying mine together with bakers’ twine and a tag that says they’re from David and me. I’ve taken over the kitchen table in an attempt to get them out to my Jewish friends before Hanukkah starts this Saturday.

Whatever your plans are for merry-making by mail this year, I hope you are feeling inspired and enjoying the task. And now, back to my kitchen table…
