Gift Idea: Essential Oil Patches

February 20, 2013

I’ve been meaning to share this little gift idea with you: natural, organic, aromatherapy skin patches made from essential oils. They come in 6 different varieties to boost your immunity and ease ailments, including a sleep aid, stress-reliever, and cough and cold formula.

Each patch can be worn for up to 24 hours, perfect for those extra long and tough days! And, as if all that wasn’t exciting enough, they come in stylish packaging and are light and easy to mail. Wouldn’t they be cute in a “get well soon” gift basket, especially during flu season? Or as part of a de-stress/spa-themed present, maybe with a relaxing instrumental mix CD, a bear-shaped honey bottle, and a box of cucumber mint green tea?

I think they’re perfect for people who are health-conscious, seem to already have everything, or prefer useful presents rather than the kinds that can sit around catching dust. I personally haven’t used them yet, but my aunt and sister think the sleep and stress ones work well. You can order them from Essential Patch, a small business in Boulder, Colorado.

You know what’s funny? I first learned about these not from a health or wellness resource, but on The Dieline, a blog about packaging design! Just goes to show, you never know where you’ll come across helpful information and discoveries.

I hope you stay warm and well for these last bits of winter! Do you have any favorite get well soon gifts or “useful” presents? I am always on the lookout for the latter!

Glad you think they’d make a cute gift! (As I am writing this about get well baskets, I am chain-consuming cough drops.) I am such a sucker for stylish packaging. At least essential oil patches are useful- I am not always so lucky when succumbing to cute packaging! :) Thanks for visiting!
